Terms of Service.

Plain English: Use RecapGPT for legitimate purposes. Don't process content you don't have rights to. We provide the service as-is and reserve the right to terminate accounts for abuse. You own what you create.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using RecapGPT, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

RecapGPT processes YouTube videos to generate transcripts, summaries, and other text outputs. We provide the service on a subscription basis (with a free tier) and may modify features at any time.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • You're responsible for keeping credentials secure.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person; commercial use is governed by the Pro plan.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Process content you don't have legal rights to
  • Generate content that violates laws or others' rights
  • Bypass paywalls, DRM, or access controls
  • Abuse the free tier (creating multiple accounts)
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service
  • Reverse-engineer our models or systems
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate others

5. Content ownership

What you own

You own all transcripts, summaries, articles, and outputs generated from videos you have rights to process.

What we own

RecapGPT, our website, software, and brand remain our intellectual property.

Third-party content

YouTube videos remain the property of their original creators. You're responsible for using outputs in ways that comply with copyright law.

6. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance.
  • You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at period end.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

8. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate your account for: violation of these Terms, non-payment, abuse of the service, or legal compliance requirements.

9. Disclaimers

RecapGPT is provided "as is" and "as available." AI-generated content may contain errors — verify before relying on it for important decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved in Delaware courts.
